Kilt Rock, The Quiraing, Dunvegan Castle

Isle of Skye, PartOne! Had dramatic weather in the morning with rain, which created some spectacular waterfalls.

That's me there, providing scale for the waterfall.

The Old Man of Storr, in the distance. And blue skies!

Difficult to convey the beauty of this place.

Down the coast from the Kilt Rock.

Kilt Rock.

We drove the Quiraing Pass, cutting across the Trotternish Peninsula, and it was THRILLING to drive. So much fun. You may get a different version from Lee as a passenger, however. :)

Love, love, love this sheep on the hill.

Dunvegan Castle, ancestral home of the MacLeods. Very cool.

Their motto is "Hold Fast."

Next up: Talisker Distillery and more Isle of Skye beauty!

Woodland walk, Plockton, sheep, and general loveliness

After a string of busy days, we took one to just relax and get a slow start to the day. Did some laundry then went to the town nearby, Kyle of Lochalsh, to seek out lunch. Had some good fish n chips!

On the road toward Plockton where we went on a walk in the woods and along a loch.

It was here, about halfway, when I think Lee thought I was trying to kill her. The path became rather steep and difficult.

But the views!!

This picture is for a special someone back home. :)

The quaint little village of Plockton.

Sheep EVERYWHERE!

Wildlife boat tour, Inverewe Gardens, and Amazing Landscapes

Monday was our marine wildlife boat tour and we had so much fun out on the water! Not a whole lot of exciting wildlife, but plenty of birds and coastal scenery. Did see a few seals (their heads anyway) and one fat seal that I thought was a rock! Some kayakers got caught out in a rain storm - thank goodness we were on a boat with shelter!

Our boat is on the end - the Starquest

This is Alaster, he fell asleep 20 minutes into our cruise.  Love his wellies!

Coos on a cliff!

The big white rock on the left is actually a seal!

Driving from Gairloch to Inverewe Gardens was gorgeous.

What a moment this was. We're driving along when The Circle of Life from The Lion King came on the radio and then the sun popped out. It made me cry, I'm not ashamed to say. :)

Next up, Skye and more incredible coastlines!
